What component is needed to make a computer?
Computer consists of several different parts. The basic parts needed to build a computer is monitor, mouse, keyboard and CPU. Monitor, mouse and keyboard can be purchased and plugged directly to use it. It is because these parts are plug and play compliant.
The important part that worry us is the CPU. Normally CPU come with a casing. Inside the casing is so many different parts. If you bought CPU directly that already installed with windows, then it is very easy. You just need to connect keyboard, mouse and monitor to the CPU and it will works.
However if you want to build a PC, you need to know the parts inside the CPU. What parts make a CPU?
CPU consists of microprocessors, motherboard, RAM, hard disc, CD ROM drive, floppy disc drive, graphic card, sound card and modem.
The microprocessors type are wide variety. For example :
1. Intel Celeron Processor
2. Intel Pentium Processor
3. AMD Athlon
4. Cyrix
The speed of the microprocessors has become very fast. Now frequency up to 3GHz is very common. Microprocessor will execute all program instruction from Windows application such as Microsoft word, Excel, Internet Explorer and so on.
