Random Access Memory
RAM is the random access memory. The application program that user is currently working on the PC such as Microsoft word is loaded from hard disc into RAM for faster execution. The size of RAM also has a major influence on the speed of the program execution by a computer. Small RAM size and slow microprocessor speed will make program execution very slow.
