VoIP Phone

VoIP phone is a complete set of telephone that can be connected to LAN or ADSL Modem. Using VoIP phone we can make a call using VoIP charge rate. The charge rate is the charge for the internet connection.

VoIP phone is a hardware. It is not a softphone. Softphone is a software on the PC or a PDA. Softphone need to be installed on a PC or a PDA. Some softphone is available for free.

VoIP phone is not free. VoIP phone is available in the market at the moment. The price also is not very expensive.

VoIP already consist of microphone, speaker, LCD, keypad and so on. Inside the VoIP phone is a codec that will process our voice to be sent on the internet. The codec will transform our voice into a digital data which consist of 1 and 0 signal.

The digital data will be combined into a packet just like internet data packet. The voice packet will be transferred through the LAN or ADSL Modem to the other IP address.
